But, where are my manners? Please allow me to introduce myself. I hope you'll forgive me for not giving my real name, since I am still gainfully employed at a local casino and don’t wish to lose my job. For the purposes of this discussion, you can call me Mark. Most average players just find a nice fancy machine that they think they can afford, throw a few bucks in, hope for the best, and pull the handle. What really makes me angry is when people, like those that sell these guides, misinform the gambling public in order to line their pocketbooks. How do I know? I am a Slot Technician. I work on slot machines for a living, and if there were ever a secret... I WOULD KNOW IT.

What I do know, however, is how to make sure you get the best possible odds. That's the best anyone can do. The trick is knowing how.

I’ve seen slot machines from almost every manufacturer, certainly every major machine manufacturer, and none of them have a sure fire way of making money each and every time you sit down and play. They just aren’t designed that way. To be honest, that’s why I’m still a technician and not a professional gambler. There is a lot of good information here on the internet, but there is also quite a bit of misinformation from those who are ill informed. Get the correct information directly from the person who works on the games for a living. I didn't get the info from a book, from a buddy of mine who works in the industry, or from my brother's friend's dog... I do the work 5 days a week, and I know the machines inside and out. Part of my job is testing slot machines. I do this with the casino’s money, and I can play as much as I want. Ever see all the cameras in a casino? They aren’t there to take your picture when you win that big jackpot folks… they’re there to protect the casino’s assets, including all the money inside the machine.
